L’uscita del nuovo album “Bon Jovi 2020” come gia anticipato da Jon in recenti interviste sarà posticipata al prossimo autunno, la nuova data fissata al momento è il 30 ottobre 2020 (ndr: ma potrebbe comunque anche questa data essere variabile a seconda di come si evolvono le cose) Bon Jovi 2020 è prodotto da Jon Bon Jovi e John Shanks, etichetta Captain Kidd Corp license to Island Records (Universal Music Group).

La copertina è sempre la stessa a meno che non ci siano ulteriori cambiamenti. Il primo singolo di presentazione dell’album è stato Limitless, mentre era gia stata pubblicata Unbroken come colonna sonora del Film-Documentario “To Be Of Service” e poi cantata con il Principe Harry con il coro degli Invictus Games.

Jon ha fatto sapere che aggiungerà almeno una canzone come bonus track, oltre alle 10 canzoni gia annunciate, cioè la nuova canzone dal titolo Do What You Can, scritta da Jon in questi tempi di Corona Virus che hanno fortemente colpito negli USA lo stato del New Jersey, oltre che quello di New York.

Do What You Can fino ad ora conoscevamo scritto da Jon solo il primo verso e il ritornello. La canzone è diventata famosa perchè Jon ha chiesto ai fan di completarla scrivendo il secondo verso. Ma la canzone con il testo completo scritto da Jon è stata cantata in versione acustica in anteprima mondiale durante l’evento benefico Jersey 4 Jersey. Evento con Jon, Bruce Springsteen e le più grandi celeberità del New Jersey per raccogliere fondi per il New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund.

Situato tra due metropoli come quella di Manhattan e Philadelphia c’è il New jersey, qualcuno potrebbe dire che rappresenta uno stato d’animo. Qualcun altro, invece, potrebbe dire che è un luogo mitologico. Beh, io dico che per me è casa. È il posto in cui sono nato e cresciuto. Questa sera siamo qui per tenervi compagnia perché tutti noi stiamo cercando un abbraccio virtuale.
